Natnael Yemane, a 15-year-old Ethiopian boy who came to Britain to take part in the Olympic torch relay, has gone missing, from a hotel in Nottingham.

He carried the torch as part of the International Inspiration programme, a games sponsored initiative to encourage children at home and abroad to do more physical exercise.
Police said he left the hotel where he was staying, the Jurys Inn, Waterfront Plaza, Nottingham, at around 9.15pm yesterday and did not return.

"We are concerned for Natnael as he does not speak very good English and is not thought to be street-wise.  He does have family in London, but we need to find him and make sure he is safe and well," a police spokesman said.
